Edward
Hostmann founded EHI in 1991 to provide consulting services to
companies in financial distress. Hostmann has represented debtors and
creditors in and out of bankruptcy, and, since 1996, has focused his practice
on representing financial institutions that face the prospect of losses
on loans.
Hostmann’s consulting success demonstrates that
having expertise in crisis management is much more important than having
business experience in a particular industry. In a crisis, what counts
is making the correct assessment, establishing strategic priorities and
taking quick, decisive action. In his consulting practice, Hostmann has
held positions as president, vice president, chief financial officer and
general manager for companies in a variety of industries. In addition,
Hostmann has been a Chapter 7 panel trustee.
Hostmann’s experience includes assignments involving national and
regional companies in a very wide range of industries, including retail,
yacht building, consumer electronics, manufacturing, ship repair/drydock,
horse racing, trucking, agriculture, movie theaters, distribution and
others. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, an organization
for professionals involved in the management of corporate turnarounds.
